故事的场景是在组屋楼下的电梯附近，一个小女孩放学回家，看见邻居的一个马来族老奶奶拎着东西，她就连忙上前问老奶奶是否需要帮她提东西，老奶奶说不需要。然后她就帮老奶奶摁电梯，并问老奶奶住几楼。老奶奶告诉她住七楼。那个女生帮忙摁了7楼，电梯到了之后，老奶奶慢慢地走出了电梯，给小女孩竖起了大拇指。然后女生乘坐电梯，回到自己家里。

视频接着转向另一个场景：

一个女生看见一个男生在组屋楼下边走边吃香蕉，男生吃完香蕉后，把香蕉皮乱扔在地上，后面一个老爷爷走了过来，差一点就踩到香蕉皮上。于是这个女生就三步并作两步地走到老爷爷面前，提醒他地上有香蕉皮。同时她叫住那个男生，让他把香蕉皮捡起来，那个男生惭愧地低下了头，把香蕉皮扔到了垃圾桶里。老爷爷给她竖起一个大拇指。

问题一：你在录像中看到的场景，你对哪一个印象更深刻？

参考答案：我对第一个录像的场景印象更深刻，因为我觉得视频中的小女孩很懂事，也很乐于助人。她的行为值得我们学习。因为当她看到老奶奶需要帮助时，主动上前问老奶奶是否需要她帮忙拎东西，当老奶奶说不需要时，她又连忙帮老奶奶摁电梯按钮。我看到后感到很高兴，因为我认为她做的是对的。如果我们时时刻刻为别人着想，我们就能创造一个和谐共处的邻里关系。

问题二：你有没有为别人着想的一件事？

参考答案一：我有做过很多为别人着想的事。其中一件事是有一次，我乘坐巴士时，看到一位老奶奶拎着东西上来巴士，可是周围的一些年轻人假装看手机，或是假装睡觉，我看到这一幕，很生气，于是就站出来告诉他们有一位老奶奶需要座位，让他们把座位让出来给老奶奶，他们惭愧地低下了头，连忙给老奶奶让座。

参考答案二：我每次在图书馆看完书后，会把书放回原位，这样方便后来的人查找，并且我会把书放得整整齐齐地，这样不容易掉下来，也减少了图书管理员的负担。在我离开图书馆之前，我会把桌面清理干净，把桌椅放整齐。

参考答案三：我以前住在组屋的时候，每次在浇花的时候，我会确保水不会洒在地上，如果洒在了地上，我会拿拖把把水拖干，这是因为住在我隔壁的一位老奶奶行走不方便，之前因为摔了一跤，行走不太方便。如果老奶奶因为滑倒而再次受伤，后果可能不堪设想。对她的身体也会造成不良的影响。 为了不必增添这样的麻烦，我在浇花时会特别留心。

问题三：邻居之间互相关心有什么好处？

邻居之间互相帮助有很多好处。首先，如果邻居之间互相帮助，那么我们之间的关系就会变得很和睦，生活在一起就很快乐。第二，因为邻居是离我们最近的人，如果我们遇到了一些紧急情况，需要帮助时，我们可以及时请邻居帮忙，同样地，我们也可以及时地向邻居提供我们力所能及的帮助。最后我们可以在出国时请邻居帮忙照顾我们的植物或是宠物。俗话说得好：“远亲不如近邻”。邻居是我们最近的朋友，因此邻居之间互相关心，互相照顾会让我们的社区更加美好。

2022 English Oral Test Real Questions:

The poster is about recycling. There are sports shoes in the community center, after that, the shoes are sent to the factory to make rubber materials and running tracks.

The questions were asked as follows.

1.      Would you like to participate in this activity?

Reference answer:

Yes, I would definitely participate in this event. Firstly, over the years, I have been collecting a lot of shoes as I have already outgrown them. I am still keeping them as I think it would be a pity if I dispose of them just like this. Now it would be a chance for me to dispose of them for a useful purpose. Secondly, I am able to play my part for the environment and I will feel great pride whenever I do so. Thus I would participate in this activity.

2.      Do you think CC is a good place to collect things?

Reference answer: 

Yes, I think community centres are good places for collecting things. Community clubs are near to a lot of places as there are a few resident communities in the community neighbourhood. The amount of space in the community can store more things. Instead of going to the recycling point or factory, it is easier to get to a community club.

3.      Do you think it is important for us to save our planet?

Reference answer:

I think it is very important to save our planet. The earth is our most important resource of life. Mankind exists as we are living in a currently hospitable environment.

However, the earth's condition is going from bad to worse. As such, it is important that each and every one of us save the environment. During the school holidays, I watched a national geographic documentary on the melting polar caps and depleting ozone layer. All of these are happening at a rapid pace because of mankind's inconsiderate acts. If global warming continues to occur, the world for future generations will be a bleak place.

It will be a place whereby coastal cities and towns are flooded. I have already recommended all my friends to watch this documentary on YouTube. I hope this would make them become more aware of the depleting earth.

4.      What do you do with your sports shoes?

Reference answer:

The sports shoes that are still good in quality shall be given to charity and friends who can fit in those. This is because they can still be used, otherwise it will not be environmentally conscientious and be a waste. I won't want these shoes to go to waste. However, if the shoe is worn-out and cannot be worn, I would send it to organizations that can recycle them so I can do my bit for the environment.

5.      Besides this, what can you do for recycle? Do you have any solution?

Reference answer:

Besides recycling shoes, plastic can also be recycled. Producing plastic takes a lot of natural resources and is harmful to the environment. However, if plastic is recycled, it just has to be melted and reshaped, which takes a shorter time and lesser energy.
